Chestnut Roaster
Details
There is nothing better than the smell and taste of roasted chestnuts.
Here is your guide:
- Find the flat side of the chestnut and cut with a large X with a sharp knife or Chestnut knife - you may want to cut them in half if roasting on a gas hob.
- Put the chestnuts into the chestnut pan in a single layer with a couple of tablespoons of olive oil.
- Place the pan on the hob or on an open fire and saute the chestnuts for 5 minutes, tossing frequently allowing even cooking.
- Peel the chestnuts as soon as they are cool enough to handle.
