Recipe for perfect Mashed Potato!
We sell lots of potato ricers in the shop, and obviously - we must try out all our gadgets to make sure they work!!... this one is really fantastic, it makes a real difference to a dish most of us cook all the time. It is effortless to use, and produces a beautiful, creamy, fluffy mound of mash to die for!
Ingredients
- 2lb floury potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 60g butter
- 2-3 tbsp warm milk
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method
- Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water (or better still in a steamer) for about 20 minutes or until they are soft.
- Drain the potatoes. Put them through the potato ricer.
- Beat the butter and warmed milk in to the resulting riced potatoes. I use a fork to just fluff it through. Add salt and pepper to taste, and enjoy!!
The resulting dish is nice enough to eat on it's own without any accompaniment at all! |
